UX Market Researcher

Direct / Permanent Hire: $95 - 110k annually plus benefits, incentives, 401k


We are seeking an experienced UX Market Researcher to join a cutting edge Digital Innovation  team that works with the latest and greatest tech within the company.  The successful candidate for this role will have extensive experience conducting  usability research. You till be responsible for conducting  end-user interviews, determining user  behavior and creating  prototypes and mockups.  Knowledge of ADA compliance is strongly preferred.

Formal Job description:
  • Focus on native mobile, web and IoT usability and how it relates to the overall design.
  • Suggest behaviors, navigation and animation that humanize the product and enhance the user experience.
  • Emphasize each user journey and apply your perspective on it to refine and improve it iteratively.
  • Scale functionality across channels so that its suited to the technology platform, screen dimensions and user protocols of that channel.
  • Extract behavioral insights about users using surveys, interviews, log analysis, usability studies, or other methods.
  • Develop quick mockups of  designs using common design tools like Photoshop, OmniGraffle or similar tools.
  • Develop documentation that outlines proper use and purpose of the UI, simplified for users and technicians to understand.
  • Establish guidelines, best practices and standards related to designing and maintaining accessible websites.
  • Ensure ADA compliance and web content accessibility for all web based products.

Top Skills required:
  • Min 4-6 years’ experience as a UX Designer,  Usability Engineer or Information Architect.
  • Advanced understanding of usability, human factors and ADA in web, mobile and IoT environments.
  • Fluent in best practices for mobile and web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
  • Cross-platform design experience (native mobile(android, iOS), web, emails, text, IoT).
  • Background in Human-Computer interaction, Information Science, Computer Science or Bachelors’ Degree in a related field.
