Rate: $70 - $73/hr w2


This is a 6-month contract to permanent opportunity offering a full benefit package while on contract including 401(k) and health/vision/dental insurance


One of our top clients, a leading billion-dollar company in their industry, is looking to bring on a Release Train Engineer for their SAFe implementation. The Release Train Engineer (RTE) has primary purpose of supporting an Agile Release Train (ART) by steering it to success and navigating the complexity of delivering software in large environments. The RTE helps resolve and escalate impediments, manages risk, helps assure value delivery, and drives program level continuous improvement. The RTE is accountable for the overall coordination, execution and delivery of value through the program while ensuring alignment with company strategy, commitments and goals.



Responsibilities of a Release Train Engineer:
  • Manage and optimize Epics/Features throughout the program increment.
  • Manage/Track/Publish PI Objectives and Metrics
  • Escalate and manager risk and dependencies.
  • Attend System/Solutions Demos
  • Coach Scrum Masters, Product Managers and Products Owners in Agile Practices.  
  • Facilitate sprint planning, release planning, daily stand-ups, stakeholder demos, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions. Support product owner in developing, maintaining and grooming product backlog.
  • Remove impediments/blockers to keep teams highly productive. Identify and manage dependencies with other internal or external teams. Provide metrics and status to senior management.
  • Mentor team members on Agile/Scrum best practices.
