NOC Technician

 

Principle Solutions Group has an immediate need for a NOC Technician for our major client in the Northern Cincinnati area! You will have the opportunity to work with new technologies and state-of-the-art equipment supporting a variety of corporations within an enterprise class data center.

 

In this role you will be the first level of the support chain. You’ ll be directly involved in recording and dispatching trouble tickets as well as monitoring systems (On site and remote). Technicians perform routine and emergency requests through service request tickets as a member of a service team.

 

 

Rate: $20.00-$28.00/hr + full benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k matching)

 

 

Responsibilities:

 
  • Perform constant network and system monitoring (On site and remote)
  • Record customer trouble tickets and assign based upon urgency and issue
  • Analyzes alarms and trouble indicators to identify problem areas and escalate to appropriate parties
  • Tests and clears system and network alarms
  • Deploy agents to customer systems such as End Point Protection software, Backup software agents, monitoring agents, etc.
  • Respond to backup job failures, restart backup jobs, and basic troubleshooting of backup issues.

 

Qualifications:

 
  • Must be able to work under pressure, handle stress and follow directions precisely.
  • Must have demonstrated troubleshooting experience
  • Must demonstrate ability to work with others and promote a harmonious working relationship in the NOC, with other Departments and field personnel
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Flexibility to support shift coverage including overnight and weekend support shifts  based on company needs and requirements
